Hormone Replacement Therapy

You will have an initial history and Physical Exam with Triple Board Certified Nurse Practitioner, Drew Velasco. She will review your medical history, obtain vital signs, draw labs, and discuss potential treatment options.

The initial history and physical exam is $150, which would be due at the booking time. The cost of TRT therapy varies depending on your underlying medical conditions, the dosage type, and the treatment duration. We offer in-office and at-home programs.

At Drew & Co. we utilize injectable bioidentical and synthetic hormones to mimic the properties of male testosterone for treatment. Testosterone replacement therapy injections usually incorporate testosterone in the form of a liquid designed for intramuscular injections, which typically comes in 100mg and 200 mg vials.

The duration of hormone replacement therapy varies depending on your health condition, symptoms, and goals. It’s typically continued as long as it effectively manages your symptoms, and then the benefits outweigh any potential risks or side effects. The treatment duration may also depend on personal preferences and lifestyle considerations. We will work with you to ensure your goals align with ours. We will schedule a follow-up appointment to draw labs
about 6-8 weeks after to see how everything is going and recheck labs.

As with all medications, testosterone replacement therapy can increase the risk for other medical conditions, such as:
● Sleep apnea
● Increased risk for stroke
● High blood pressure
● Worsening urinary complications
● Polycythemia (increases the concentration in hemoglobin)
